While excited NFL fans enjoyed the first ever draft held on a team’s home field at AT&T Stadium last weekend (April 26-28), the packed house was a portent of things to come for the evening of June 10 when it’s planned that evangelist Greg Laurie will issue an invitation for thousands in attendance and a global viewing audience to come forward and join God’s team.

The first such event held at the same facility in 2016 saw more than 90,000 in attendance, believed to be a record for a one-day event in the U.S.
NAMB (North American Mission Board) is partnering with Harvest America for a second year to host a one-night evangelistic crusade during Crossover 2018 in Dallas. NAMB and Harvest America have joined with One Conversation to lead the way in equipping and mobilizing gospel conversations in the DFW this year through Crossover.
“The last time we gathered here as ONE Church, on ONE day, to proclaim ONE message, more than 23,000 individuals made that decision to follow Christ, and we are praying for an even greater response this time around,” said Pastor John Collins, Harvest Crusades executive director. “The world can seem like a dark and scary place these days, and many people may feel like we are fighting a losing battle. But we know that in the end, God will be victorious over sin and evil, and we want to invite as many people to join us on that winning team as possible.”
In 1990, Greg Laurie, senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, Calif., began holding large-scale evangelistic events called Harvest Crusades, patterned after the crusades led so successfully by Billy Graham for more than six decades. This first such event since the evangelist’s passing in February will demonstrate there is still a great need for this kind of public proclamation of the Gospel message, Laurie believes. He launched his first national outreach, called Harvest America, in 2012 by using the Internet and satellite technology to simulcast live video to thousands of locations across the country.
Harvest Crusades are designed for Christians to invite others to hear the life-changing gospel in a non-threatening environment, and are held at the invitation of unified local churches wanting to impact their communities. In addition to music from top contemporary Christian artists, each event features a biblically-sound and culturally relevant gospel message from Pastor Greg Laurie. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
This year’s Harvest America is in partnership with NAMB’s yearly Crossover emphasis in which thousands of individuals will converge on the host city for a weekend of community outreach and evangelism, culminating in the stadium event to kick off the group’s annual meeting. Harvest Christian Fellowship joined the SBC last June during the Crossover Harvest American 2017 event in Phoenix.
Musical guests for Crossover Harvest America 2018 include Chris Tomlin, Switchfoot, Crowder and Phil Wickham. A pre-concert for local attendees includes performances by Christian rap/hip-hop artists KB, Trip Lee and Tedashii. Parking lots open at 2 p.m., stadium gates open at 3:30 p.m., the pre-concert with no live-stream begins at 5:30 p.m. and the main event runs from 6:00-8:00 p.m. (all times are central)
More information is available at www.harvestamerica.com, where locations around the country can sign up as remote venues, and local churches can confirm their involvement, including plans to bring buses to get reserved parking and seating accommodations.
