Marketplace: Journalism + Faith with Sophia Lee Hyun

We are excited to announce that we are moving the Marketplace back to Metropolis Cafe in Santa Monica for our upcoming event on October 17th.
Join us for a fun and insightful event as we gather to network and hear from Sophia Lee Hyun, a World News Group journalist and reporter based in Los Angeles. She will be sharing her insights on incorporating faith into her job as a journalist.
Sophia Lee was born in Jeonju, South Korea and grew up in Singapore and Northern Virginia. She graduated from the University of Southern California with degrees in print journalism and East Asian language and culture, speaks English, Korean, Mandarin, and “adequately eavesdrops on Spanish conversations.”
Sophia has worked for the Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, and is now a features reporter and journalist for WORLD Magazine and is a self-described “coffee jugging journalist.” Her interests include culture, photography, faith, food, history, Russian literature, travel, arts, personal finance, international relations, dance, mental health, and eating disorders. She lives in Los Angeles with her cat, Shalom.
